Pointe shoes are a significant expense in producing high-caliber ballet. Each pair costs approximately $100 and usually only lasts for one performance. Our female dancers use an average of 40 pairs per season. You can help offset this cost by purchasing a pair of pointe shoes for our dancers. Simply choose the number of shoes you would like to buy for our dancers.

The sounds of live music undeniably elevate a ballet performance for patrons and dancers alike. As much as it enhances a production, the cost of hiring musicians can be a prohibitive and sizable addition to a budget. In a new collaboration with the Cleveland Pops Orchestra, the successful performances of Dracula and The Masque of the Red Death once again included live music.
Make a donation to our Symphony of Support fund to support Cleveland Ballet’s efforts of bringing live music to Playhouse Square for future performances.
Generous patrons making donations of $2,500 to Symphony of Support will receive an array of specially curated benefits:

Gifts to Cleveland Ballet’s Richard W. and Patricia R. Pogue Cleveland Ballet Endowment are an investment in the future of dance, including newly commissioned works, The Academy of Cleveland Ballet, and artistic innovations. Your gift will directly generate annual operating revenue to support Cleveland Ballet’s performances and community impact programs across Northeast Ohio.
This Richard W. and Patricia R. Pogue Cleveland Ballet Endowment was created in 2023 in honor of the former Chairman of the Board and philanthropist, Richard “Dick” Pogue, and his late wife, Patricia R. Pogue, who played a pivotal role in reestablishing Cleveland Ballet as a premiere dance company in the region and a resident company of Playhouse Square since 2017. Arts organizations like Cleveland Ballet are built on creativity, passion, and generosity as well as sound finances. An endowment provides vital resources and stability for Cleveland Ballet to maintain its operation and delight audiences for generations to come.
If you would like to contribute to the Richard W. and Patricia R. Pogue Cleveland Ballet Endowment, please contact Ashley at Development@cleveballet.org or by calling 216-320-9000 ext 105.

Matching Gifts are part of a giving program established by companies and corporations as an employee benefit. When an employee donates to the Cleveland Ballet, they can request a matching gift from their employer, and the company will make an additional donation to the nonprofit. This is a great way to double the impact of your donation. The Cleveland Ballet has received matching gifts from companies such as KeyBank, Glenmede, Dell, Spangenberg, Shibley & Liber LLP, and more. Contact your company for more information on how they will match your gift.
